Ross Casey is a versatile composer and songwriter, writing music for video game soundtracks, theme parks, independent artists and more. His music explores and infuses a wide range of genres, including orchestral, electronic, jazz, hip hop, and rock. With roots in classical music from studying viola and piano, he then also embraced pop and electronic genres and strives to amalgamate the best of both worlds. No matter what style of music he is working on, he immerses himself completely into the process, polishing and revising the sound with a level of patience that is rarely seen, to craft music with lush instrumentation, and moving melodies.
His music is featured at an attraction at the Lewa Adventure amusement park in Xi’an China. In 2017 he was a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition. In 2020 he was nominated for a Game Audio Network Guild award for his remix of “Aquatic Ambiance” from the Donkey Kong Country soundtrack.
Since early 2021, Ross has been composing full-time for a video game company based in Shanghai, creating music for the games Torchlight Infinite, T3 Arena, Sword of Convallaria, Flash Party, and others. His song “I Don’t Wanna Be Alone This Christmas”, written for T3 Arena, was well-loved by fans for its touching melody and emotion. Outside of the music he makes for games, he also continues to carry out his own personal artistic visions, developing new music across multiple genres.
